The 16th China Annual Meeting of Institutional Economics was held in Shandong University from June 18, 2016–June 19, 2016. Many famous economists including Zhongmin Wang, deputy chairman of National Council for social security fund); Guoqiang Tian, dean of the School of Economics of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics); Shuguang Zhang, researcher of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences); Baojiang Han, director of Department of Economics of Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C; Yang Yao, dean of National School of Development of Peking University; Biliang Luo, dean of College of Economics & Management of  Southern China Agriculture University; and Shaoan Huang, dean of the Center for Economic Research of Shandong University attended this meeting and made excellent reports. Ten people made Keynote speeches and all attendants were divided into eight groups then eight excellent papers were selected. This is a one and half days meeting and it is composed of opening ceremony reports, keynote speeches, parallel sessions, awarding and ending ceremony.

This annual meeting promoted the academic exchange among researchers in institutional economics and provided a great platform for students to learn this discipline.
